Spray Painted Light Fixture

I found this baby in my in laws garage, I thought it’d be perfect to replace the ugly fluorescent light fixture in my kitchen.

The silver and blue weren’t quite my cup of tea so I decided to use my handy dandy spray paint!!

I used Rust-Oleum Metallic spray paint in Oil Rubbed Bronze (pictured above) and tape to cover the inside

I saved my self a couple hundred bucks with a little spray paint and and an old find! It came out perfect, just what I imagined!!

Once installed…

I was a little scared that the paint would get ruined from the heat of the light bulbs but it’s been holding up just fine so far.

UPDATE: almost 2yrs later and it’s held up so well!! Don’t underestimate spray paint!
